Chris Burden

I never really knew much about Chris Burden's art. I found some really compelling images of his 1971 performance "shoot". Interesting that a guy would go from shooting himself in the arm to putting light poles up at the MOCA.

Design Meeting

Yesterday, we had a productive design meeting. I like to draw. Glen added some blood.

Napkin Art

This one I did a while ago. I love Tanin Don on Tuesdays at this place in little Tokyo. They usually put our drawings up on the walls, but I think the bus boy kept this one.
This one I did last week at the Miranda Lee Richards show at Tangiers. I was really feeling the music, it reminded me a lot of my childhood. The image is an olive tree that I had in the bottom of my yard growing up. My brother built a tree house in it that I inherited. The name of the song was called Olive Tree.

LA river ride

Last weekend my brother, my cousin and myself went for a little ride. My cousin just bought his Suzuki DRZ 400 a week ago so I am still trying to asses his abilities. We rode through town on olympic and then up Santa Fe to the 7th st bridge, rode in there. At least I think it's 7th street?
After that we rode over to another entrance near Riverside. From there we rode about 12 miles until it ended at this dam under the bridges in Pasadena.


As much as it may have felt as though we were in an urban wasteland, it was actually quite serene.
