I saw more RVCA shirts at Coachella this year than any other t-shirt, which is interesting. It shows that they are really able to cross platforms as to who their customer is, which I think is extremely difficult. But I guess when you have people like Dave Choe designing shirts for you it makes it a little easier.

T-shirt of yesterday more like it. I was at the Hollywood farmers market when I spotted this guy making coffee. At first I thought it was a Benny Gold shirt and I was on the right track. Charlie Noble is a artist collaboration hailing from the east bay. I really dig the simple aesthetic of the brand and I will soon be visiting their online shop!

One of my freelance clients sent me a link to Dom Rebel a while back as inspiration. I guess I am blogging about this because it's one of those brands that make me wonder, am I wasting my time trying to make something good? Because evidently bad sells much better.

Nate and Alana set out to challenge the ultimate challenge, start a upper end retail store in the midst of a global recession. I have to admit, I had my concerns. But I also had confidence. The two of them make a pretty dynamic duo for the fashion world. If anyone could make it happen, it's them. N^A boutique (I still can't figure out how to make the little degree symbol) is rocking! if you have not been there yet, now is the time. Check out this sick Number A shirt from artist French

Walking around at Coachella yesterday I saw a Cardboard Robot sticker on one of the trash cans. Made me think about the brand and how long they have been doing what they are inspired by as opposed to following the trends of what they think will sell. I remember when we got the first shipment at the VICE store on Sunset, my first thought was damn, why didn't I think of something like this? They had this cool POP art and display, and an awesome product to match.

I keep on stumbling upon this brand Deus from Australia and I'm starting to dig it. They got the whole vintage moto look on lock. Then I dig a little deeper and realize that not only do they make sick ass t-shirts but super sick ass bicycles and motorcycles like this street tracker SR 542 i will definitely need one of these DR 650 conversions in the garage at some point.
